Felbry College School of Nursing (FCSON) offers programs that lead to professional licensure. Any student enrolling in a program at FCSON must be aware of the required credentialing or licensing requirements necessary for employment in the field.
Students enrolling in the Practical Nursing program are informed of the required credential, LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) for working as an LPN in the field.
Students enrolling in the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Program (including One +One) are informed of the required credential, RN (Registered Nurse) for working as an RN in the field.
Even though the program is post-licensure, students enrolling into the RN to BSN Completion program are informed of the required credential, RN (Registered Nurse) for continuing to work as an RN in the field.
Students enrolling in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program are informed of the required credential, RN (Registered Nurse) for working as an RN in the field.
FCSON’s program curricula meet licensure requirements and state educational requirements for professional licensure in the state of Ohio. FCSON makes every effort to ensure information about educational requirements for licensure or certification is current. However, state requirements may change.
Students who satisfactorily complete an FCSON program will be presented to the Ohio Board of Nursing as meeting program completion requirements necessary for taking the NCLEX examination to become licensed as an RN or LPN in the state of Ohio.
Felbry College School of Nursing is required to inform students whether it is authorized to enroll students in programs that offer distance education courses or a full distance education program. Felbry College is authorized to enroll students in our programs that offer residential, blended, and/or distance education. The distance education approval covers students who ONLY reside in states where the college has determined that the program meets state educational requirements for licensure or certification.
