Felbry College School of Nursing will consider accepting transfer credits earned at another postsecondary institution. An official transcript must be sent directly to Felbry College.
Additionally, a copy of a detailed syllabus for the course that includes a topical outline of the course’s content must be provided. The Program Administrator and/or the designee will make the determination as to whether the course or courses requested for transfer of credit meets all required criteria. The decision of the Program Administrator is final and not appealable.
Practical nursing program courses that can be considered for Transfer of Credit if completed within one year of starting the program are:
- Anatomy and Physiology I & II
- Nutrition across the Lifespan
For the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program, all general education courses can be considered for transfer of credit if completed within the required time frame as established by the College. The following criteria must be met:
- The postsecondary institution must be accredited by an agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education or by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation;
- The courses must be determined to be comparable in both content and duration to courses offered by Felbry and with a minimum grade of C, effective from October 2017.
The decision to accept transfer credits rests entirely with the institution to which the student is applying for acceptance. Although Felbry’s academic programs are approved by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools and its nursing programs approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award diploma in Practical Nursing Program and LPN Bridge Program. it is not likely that successfully completed Felbry credits will transfer to other post-secondary institutions.
