Transfer of Credit Policy
Felbry School of Nursing will consider accepting transfer credits or clock hours earned at another post secondary institution provided that the following criteria are met:
- The post secondary institution is accredited by an agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education or by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation;
- The course or courses being transferred are a part of nursing curriculum that has been approved and/or accredited by the Ohio Board of Nursing, the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission, by an accrediting agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education, or by an accrediting agency that is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation;
- The course or courses are determined to be comparable in both content and duration to a course or courses offered by Felbry.
An official transcript must be sent directly to Felbry from the post secondary institution that the transferring student attended. Additionally, a copy of a detailed syllabus for the course that includes a topical outline of the course’s content must be provided. The Program Administrator and /or his designee will make the determination as to whether the course or courses requested for transfer credit meet all required criteria and whether transfer credit will be granted. The decision of the Program Administrator is final and not appealable.
Transferability of Credits
The decision to accept transfer credits rests entirely with the institution to which the student is applying for acceptance. Although Felbry’s academic programs are properly approved by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools and its nursing programs approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award diploma in Practical Nursing Program and LPN-RN Program. it is not likely that successfully completed Felbry credits will transfer to other post secondary institutions.
