Shirley Phillips, RN, MSNFaculty

Shirley Phillips is an adjunct professor with Felbry College. With a dedication to patient care and educating nursing professionals, Shirley, who is a former unit director, nurse manager and administrative supervisor, brings more than 40 years of nursing experience achieved through her career at Mt. Carmel, St. Ann’s Hospital, Otterbein University and The Ohio State University Medical Center.

Shirley earned a Master of Science degree, with a concentration in critical care and case management from The Ohio State University. She served as vice president, secretary, treasurer, scholarship chairperson, program/ project chairperson for Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc, Gamma Eta chapter. In addition, Shirley served as vice president, program and project chairperson and nominating chairperson of Sigma Theta Tau, at Otterbein University and The Ohio State University College of Nursing.

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth. Such teachers are found at Felbry College which is more of a family than a school.
